Description For Software Engineer - Perception ML Ops

Join Zoox as a Software Engineer on the Perception team, where you'll work on state-of-the-art models to interpret complex urban environments. You'll develop advanced workflows for analyzing cutting-edge sensor data and contribute to groundbreaking algorithms for segmentation, tracking, classification, and high-level scene understanding.

Zoox is seeking engineers with expertise in developing perception pipelines, capable of processing real data at scale in fast-paced and unpredictable environments. This role offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of robotics, machine learning, and design, contributing to the next generation of mobility-as-a-service in urban environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Crafting advanced workflows for sensor data analysis
  • Developing algorithms for segmentation, tracking, classification, and scene understanding
  • Scaling machine learning algorithms
  • Handling large data sets efficiently

Required qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with programming and algorithm design
  • Proficiency in Python and C++
  • Experience in scaling machine learning algorithms and deployment
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a relevant field

Bonus qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in computer science or related field, experience with Ray, and familiarity with sensor data and 3D representations.

Zoox offers a comprehensive compensation package, including a salary range of $175,000 to $265,000, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. Additional benefits include paid time off, health insurance, and various other insurance options.
