Principal Mobile Engineer

We're seeking a Principal Mobile Engineer to level up our mobile app. This role spans all teams working on mobile at Zopa, focusing on enhancing our app's performance and user experience. The app, built using React Native with increasing use of native technologies like Swift and Kotlin, is our most critical customer touchpoint.

As a Principal Mobile Engineer, you'll:

• Report to the Chief Software Engineer and work closely with the Head of Mobile Engineering
• Define technical strategy and champion best practices
• Stay current with industry trends and identify relevant use cases
• Mentor and align the mobile community
• Engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Advise on app performance optimization

We're looking for someone who:

• Is a highly skilled mobile app developer proficient in Swift or Kotlin
• Has experience building sophisticated, performant apps
• Has worked on modern, high-engagement apps
• Is passionate about mentoring and inspiring others
• Has excellent relationship-building and communication skills
• Thrives on solving complex problems and driving initiatives
