Description For Designated Support Engineer

The role of Designated Support Engineer sits within our Customer Success Organization, a global team dedicated to delivering high-impact customer experiences. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge security technology while providing crucial support to enterprise clients.

As a Designated Support Engineer, you'll be responsible for complex security and network problem debugging, partnering with Engineering teams, and serving as a technical mentor. You'll play a vital role in reproducing and resolving customer issues, developing training programs, and contributing to product development through direct customer insights.

The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in SSL, HTTP, TCP/IP troubleshooting, and hands-on experience with public cloud platforms. You'll work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment that values innovation and technical excellence. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement based in Escazu, Costa Rica, combining the benefits of remote work with in-office collaboration.

Responsibilities For Designated Support Engineer

  • Provide second line phone/email consultation for complex security/network problems
  • Partner with Engineering for customer testing and troubleshooting
  • Reproduce and document customer issues
  • Develop training programs and mentor other engineers
  • Provide input on product and code changes

Requirements For Designated Support Engineer

Linux
Kubernetes
  • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting SSL, HTTP and TCP/IP
  • Experience with network transformation technologies (MPLS, SD-WAN, WAN Optimization)
  • Ability to read packet captures
  • Design and implementation experience
  • Hands-on Experience on at least one public cloud(AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Knowledge of web based security and network infrastructure
  • Vendor certification such as CCNA or equivalent preferred
