Description For IT Helpdesk Engineer

Zscaler, a leading cloud security company, is seeking an experienced IT Helpdesk Engineer to join their team in Mohali, India. The role involves providing technical assistance and support for all incoming IT Helpdesk requests related to computer systems, applications, services, software, LAN, WAN, and hardware. As part of the technical helpdesk team, you'll be responsible for resolving technical issues for employees, managing PC/Laptop setup and deployment for new hires, and maintaining daily performance and monitoring of computer systems, inventory, and software licenses.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support via phone or in-person for various IT issues
  • Setting up and deploying hardware and software for new employees
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and software licenses

Required qualifications:

  • 3-8 years of experience in IT Helpdesk
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and IP networking (subnets, DNS, DHCP, FTP, SSH)
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Windows networking
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange / Gmail, Windows OS, and Office Applications

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Phone Systems, VoIP, VMWare ESX/ESXi, vSphere, vCenter, and VMware Server
  • Experience with Linux OS and basic services (Apache/HTTPD, SSHD, SAMBA)
