Responsibilities For Resident Engineer

  • Collaborate with Zscaler Professional Services team
  • Integrate Zscaler solutions into customer environments
  • Provide configuration guidance and best practices
  • Assist with testing and troubleshooting
  • Provide regular status reports for critical incidents
  • Respond to unplanned events including after-hours Severity 1 issues

Requirements For Resident Engineer

Linux
  • 6+ years of experience as a Resident Engineer, Professional Services Consultant, or Support Engineer
  • Knowledge of IPSEC, GRE, HTTP/HTTPS, and DNS protocols
  • Experience with Proxy, SSL, SSL Inspection, and authentication systems
  • Systems installation and configuration experience with routers/switches, macOS, UNIX/Linux and Windows
  • Network troubleshooting skills using Wireshark, tcpdump, Traceroute, MTR
  • DoD 8570 IATII or 8140 Cyber Def Infra Support Specialist certification
