Responsibilities For Resident Engineer

  • Collaborate with Professional Services team to ensure team and customer success
  • Integrate Zscaler solutions into customer's environment
  • Provide configuration guidance, recommendations, and best practices
  • Assist with testing and troubleshooting
  • Provide regular status reports for critical incidents and projects
  • Respond to unplanned events, including after-hours Severity 1 issues

Requirements For Resident Engineer

Linux
  • 6+ years experience as Resident Engineer, Professional Services Consultant, or Support Engineer
  • Familiarity with IPSEC, GRE, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS protocols, Proxy, SSL, SSL Inspection
  • Experience with authentication systems (SAML, LDAP, SCIM)
  • Experience with systems installation and administration of routers/switches, macOS, UNIX/Linux and Windows
  • Network troubleshooting skills using Wireshark, tcpdump, Traceroute, MTR
  • Meets requirements of DoD 8570 IATII or 8140 Cyber Def Infra Support Specialist
