The role of Sales Engineer sits within the Enterprise Sales Engineering team in the UK, working in a hybrid environment. This position combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, requiring the ability to present complex security solutions to diverse audiences, from technical teams to C-level executives.

As a Sales Engineer, you'll be instrumental in demonstrating the Zscaler cloud security platform, creating compelling demonstrations, and gathering customer requirements. The role demands a strategic mindset to translate customer goals into actionable recommendations while serving as a trusted advisor in their transformation journey.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in Presales Sales Engineering or systems integration, with strong knowledge of enterprise network and cloud security technologies. You'll work closely with the sales team to identify opportunities, develop territory plans, and execute proof of concept engagements.

  • Presenting the Zscaler cloud security platform to existing and prospective customers
  • Creating and delivering demonstrations and gathering customer technical requirements
  • Setting the vision and translating goals into enticing and relevant recommendations
  • Being the trusted advisor to our clients while aiding their transformational journey

Requirements For Sales Engineer

  • 5+ years of experience as a Presales Sales Engineer or systems integrator
  • Knowledge of enterprise network or cloud security technologies
  • Experience leading large technical engagements with multiple stakeholders including c-level executives
  • Experience working with sales to identify, qualify and scope opportunities
  • Experience communicating complex technical solutions to a non-technical audience
  • Industry certifications - e.g CISSP, CCIE, SANS (preferred)
