Staff Site Reliability Engineer

Zscaler, the world's largest cloud security platform operator, is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join their Platform & Tooling team. Reporting to the Senior Director, you'll be responsible for designing infrastructure, tools, services, and platforms that enable operations and product teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and scalable services. The role involves close collaboration with multiple teams to improve observability, automation, configuration management, deployment, and reliability practices.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and managing scalable infrastructure solutions
• Developing observability systems for monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting
• Creating automation and orchestration platforms
• Designing a Continuous Deployment platform
• Implementing configuration management tools
• Developing a Chaos Engineering platform
• Creating scalable portals for SRE dashboards and executive decision-making
• Collaborating with product, operations, and security teams
• Developing SRE/AI Co-Pilot solutions

The ideal candidate should have:

• 6+ years of software development experience in Cloud-SRE/DevOps/System Engineering
• Proficiency in SRE and software development
• Experience with Linux, FreeBSD, React/Angular, Java, Python, Go, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, PostgreSQL, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and more
• Knowledge of AI/ML, including MLOps, GenAI, and SRE/AI Co-Pilot
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (preferred)
