Hello everyone,
Excited to be a part of the community. I have been out of the work force for a while and have worked on different projects for my own consulting company for a while. I was wondering if I could get my resume critiqued by someone with experience and get some feedback?
All the best,
Rob
Here is Alex's latest resume that I can vouch for. Aside from that, you can ask folks in the Taro community to share their resume (and there are probably good online repositories).
The good thing about writing a resume is that I pretty much consider it a solved problem. The optimal format and presentation of your experience is very well-known, and it doesn't really change across levels (the sole exception is that students should sometimes have "Education" at the top). After you have refined format/presentation, you can only get improvement by improving the core content and what Taro is all about: Actually going out there and building stuff, working with others, and adding value to the world in general.
Since resume best practices are fairly universal, these other resources should be very helpful as well:
Also, if you work at Goldman, you should (obviously) try to connect the work you've done directly to revenue. That was one of the benefits of working on Instagram Ads for myself: The added business value (literally just $$$) of my work was very clear.
Thank you for the detailed response!
I'd start with the resume masterclass and then find people to swap resume reviews with from the networking tab.
You have an interesting background that I'm sure people would love to learn about, and I hope that comes through in the resume!
Hi Rahul,
Thanks for the response. Any samples of good resumes I can download or anywhere you can direct me?
Thanks!
Thank you!
