Declining offer at Meta

Hi,

I had got an E4 offer from Meta sometime back. Although I've been really excited to join, I'd need to decline the offer - specifically because I'm not able to move to London at this point (due to some personal reasons).

As I'd need to decline the offer, I want to keep the channel/opportunity open for me to be able to join Meta sometime in the future.

Is there anything specific that I can do to gracefully decline while keeping my chances open to join in the future?

I discuss this here (along with an answer from the founder of interviewing io): How to decline offers?

Declining offers is totally normal and quite common -- the best candidates will have multiple offers, and so they inevitably turn down many hiring managers and recruiters throughout their career.

The key is to express your excitement to work with them in the future, and figure out a lightweight way to stay in touch.

    1. Tell them that you really appreciate the offer and the quality of the interview/recruiting experience
    2. Reiterate your excitement for Meta overall as a company and the work they're doing
    3. Ask them if it's okay for you to follow up with them in 3-6 months to see if anything has changed with the remote work situation
