I feel a bit lost when asking questions to recruiters. It's simple for HM bc you can ask technical questions or about the role/team. But not sure how to approach asking questions to recruiters?
I'll cover this in my upcoming behavioral interview course (I'm filming it now!), but here's my go-tos:
At a high-level, just ask questions about the company overall and their personal development. There's a ton of good space outside of the technical realm. In fact, I think asking technical questions is a bad use of time even when doing behavioral rounds with engineers/engineering managers. Choice of technology generally isn't that indicative of company quality, it's more about the culture and the quality of people.
Update: I asked these questions and the recruiter was pretty excited to answer the second one. He was like oh this is a great question!
I love it - That's awesome!
