No Emails about Live Events Before hand!!

I have mailed to alex@mail.jointaro.com regarding this last week but haven't received any reply. My intention is not to pollute the the discussion forum but need to get this issue resolved. Apologies If this offends anyone.

I'm not receiving any emails regarding live events that are gonna happen. I live in a different timezone and I do have the taro app but I rarely use my phone. I mostly check the emails and if there are anything important I'd add them to my calendar. I don't receive any emails about upcoming live events just at least 2 days before and I only see the live event notification just when they are about to start. When I get back to my phone later that event will be over. This email notification thing is not there or do I need to modify any of my settings to get the emails that I'm missing before?
Please resolve this query.

Thanks.

Alex has been on vacation for the past week (Disneyworld!), so sorry you haven't received a reply.

tl;dr: I recommend you check joinTaro.com/events every few days, and add events you care about to your calendar. (You can also add reminders through your calendar app.)

Events are unlikely to be relevant for all users, so we rarely send out broadcasts aside from the occasional push notification that an event is happening NOW.

When we build better targeting, we can selectively send out notifications or emails to the users who would be interested, but that's not currently something we've scoped out :/

We don't expect people to regularly visit the events tab on Taro, so we've been trying to get the word out about events through:

    • Including events in emails that we send to all users. These are manual emails we send out every week or 2, so it's certainly not comprehensive.
    • Mentioning events in the Taro Premium Slack

Keep in mind we have many different types of events:

Each event will indicate if it will be recorded, in which case we'll send out a notification to all users after a few days.

Thank you for responding. I understand now. I'll keep following the events page.
