What the title says...Im getting to hiring manager calls but not advancing (only passed 1 out of 5 calls).
Only feedback I've gotten from one of them is that I didn't seem to have enough experience at scale. I've gone through all the relevant courses on taro and I can't find where the real problem is.
Any advice?
Alex's answer is perfect. Just wanted to add that this is not unusual. It's fairly common to pass the recruiter screen (those are mostly sanity checks) and then fail the hiring manager round. So don't feel bad!
So the "you don't have enough relevant experience" answer is often an easy cop-out response from hiring managers to give bare minimum feedback (which isn't entirely true and is masking the real rejection reason) and have the candidate leave you alone. I bet this is happening a non-zero amount of the time for you as you're a senior engineer, not a junior or mid-level where this reason is legitimate a lot of the time.
