Suboptimal work efficiency resulted in me putting so much time at work, leading to
poor WLB @Meta. I don't want to repeat it @ Pinterest. How can I improve my efficiency?
Build in accountability, e.g. schedule a check-in about the project with a peer or tech lead a week from today.
Get better about saying no. Be clear with yourself and your team about what you’re trying to accomplish and then focus on that. Don’t attend useless meetings.
Practice decomposing your problem into smaller chunks to the point where you have more confidence on how long each one will take.
Talk to others on your team and identify common areas where you feel like you’re spending too much time. Identify how you might be able to fix the issue for everyone.
