How do I prepare for a Staff Software Engineering position at Google

I would like to interview for a staff software engineer position at google. Can someone who has been through the process shed some light on the preparation plan How much coding versus system design versus behavioral questions to expect? What is the best way to prepare for the interview.

It's impressive to interview at the Staff L6 at Google given how aggressively they downlevel! I've interviewed at Google several times (not for Staff though). Here's what I learned from my experience and what I've heard from others:  As you interview for higher level positions, there's more emphasis on system design and your prior work. System design in particular is often used for leveling. Go through this: What is the difference between a Senior and Staff engineer in a System Design Interview? You should still expect coding, but you may find the bar to be slightly lower than for an L3/L4 position.
