    1. Manager is new to managing (<1 year of experience)
    2. Manager is new to Meta
    3. Manager can't come up with the overall area you'll own (especially important as I assume you were hired at E6)
    4. Manager's team is imbalanced (too many senior/staff or too many junior/mid-level)
    5. General negative vibes you get from your own social intuition reading people (can't make eye contact, doesn't seem honest, avoids hard questions)

    Ask senior ICs on the team what it's like to work with the manager ("what do you like? what do you wish you could change?)

    They'll be more likely to give you unbiased information compared to other managers or junior engineers.
