Career Advice About Credit Karma

I have recently been laid-off, I was working as a Frontend developer for almost two years. I have prepared my resume and started applying for roles but I have not been in touch with the interview scene in a while. Should I just grind Leetcode?

More specifically:

1. How can I tell if I'm building projects properly?
2. How do I make sure I'm teaching the right things? - I'm mentoring a couple other engineers right now, and I want to share the proper methods and ideas with them.
